Dear Parents,

Welcome to the new school year! We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you and your child this year. We have great expectations for this school year and will do our best to meet the needs of your child. Our goal is to provide a safe, secure, and successful environment for each child.

We believe that good communication between parent and teacher is of great importance and vital to the total education of the child. We will do our best to keep you informed of your child’s progress. Progress reports will be sent home with all students at the beginning of the fourth and seventh week with report cards going out after the nine week period.

Weekly papers will be sent home each Monday. Occasionally, notes must go home on other days, but whenever possible we will send them all on Monday. There will also be a sign off sheet for you to initial and return so that we know that you have seen your child’s work and received any notes that were sent.

There will be short homework assignments to reinforce learning and to teach responsibility. Students will be required to read at home during the week. Also, any work that has not been completed in class will be included in the homework for the day.

Please contact your teacher if you have any questions or would like to arrange a conference. Third grade conference period is from 12:20-1:20. The school phone number is 817-220-2498; the email address' are teachers first initial and last name@springtownisd.net. Please feel free to call or email anytime. We value your input. Your child’s lunch period is from 11:35-12:05.

We are looking forward to working with your child and you during the 2016-2017 school year.
