Christi Rogers

My name is Christi Rogers and I am the counselor at Springtown Elementary. I graduated from  Hardin-Simmons University in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and I received my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Tarleton State University in 2008. I completed hours to receive my LPC License in 2017. Prior to counseling I taught elementary students for four years. I am very excited to be a part of Springtown ISD and look forward to working with your children.

    Counseling Program

The counseling program at Springtown Elementary provides students with small group opportunities, as well as classroom guidance and counseling, to support the students’ success in school.  The campus wide program consists of developmentally appropriate activities and materials that deal with educational, personal, and social development. Classroom guidance is offered each month and teaches Character Counts components.  Further, students take part in classroom lessons targeting social skills training and empathic understanding utilizing the Second Step program.  Students are taught social skills problems solving through the Kelso’s Choice Program. We also focus on being Bucket Fillers and not Bucket Dippers, based on the book, "Have you filled a bucket today? A Daily Guide to Happiness for Kids" by Carol McCloud.
