Springtown ISD COVID-19 Response
Springtown ISD will be closed through April 3rd due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), per Governor Greg Abbott's public health disaster declaration. All extracurricular activities and school events during this period are also suspended.
On Thursday, March 19, Governor Abbott announced that all schools in Texas should close through April 3. The state will review reopening at that time, depending on the state of the spread of COVID-19. The health and safety of our students and staff is a top priority. The goals of this announced closure are to help prevent the spread of the disease and to give our staff additional time to plan for continuity of services should it become necessary for public schools to close for a longer period of time. We ask everyone in the Springtown ISD community to do your part to help prevent the spread of disease by limiting your attendance at social gatherings and large public events. The cancellation of mass gatherings can dramatically help flatten the curve for the spread of the coronavirus disease.
While the district is closed in an effort to protect our community from the spread of COVID-19, we still expect our students to continue learning at home with remote support of our teacher and support personnel.
