1:1 Chromebooks
  • Springtown ISD is excited to announce the implementation of 1:1 Chromebooks in all classrooms across our district. We at Springtown ISD are focused on student success. As part of that focus, we believe equipping each student with a device transforms teaching and learning in our modern world. A digital device in the hands of each student engages them in transformational learning beyond the four walls of a traditional classroom. Through the 1:1 initiative, students will have the regular opportunity to analyze, evaluate, create, and collaborate in engaging, authentic, real-world learning.

Beginning in the Fall of 2020 Springtown ISD will equip all students and teachers with a device to be used for educational purposes as part of the SISD 1:1 initiative. The 1:1 initiative will allow students equitable access to learning experiences across all environments. The District’s 1:1 program will be student-centered and focused on desired outcomes. Some of those desired outcomes are as follows:

    • Chromebooks for every student and teacher
    • Adoption of a district-wide Learning Management System: Schoology
    • Access to all digital programs via a single sign-on dashboard:  Classlink
    • Provide all students with future-ready tools to do authentic TEKS based work
    • Utilize technology to enhance teaching & learning
    • Professional learning for teachers focused on the 4 C’s
      • Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, and Communication

    Hotspot Request
    Hotspots

Springtown ISD is pleased to announce that a limited number of WIFI Hotspots will be available for scheduled pickup. The WIFI hotspot will provide filtered internet access to students for instructional purposes only. The district hotspot will be assigned to district families in need of internet access at home depending on device availability. If you currently have reliable internet access, please do not request a hotspot device. Please complete the Hotspot Request Form. The form will be reviewed and processed based on the availability of devices. Campus or district personnel will notify you detailing the next steps. As a reminder, a request for an internet hotspot does not guarantee one will be issued to you.
