    At Springtown Elementary students having characteristics of dyslexia and related reading difficulties receive assistance through The Barton Reading & Spelling System.  In this multi-sensory reading program instruction is divided into ten levels.  It is based upon the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching the phonemic system of our language.  Identified students attend class daily for a minimum of 100 minutes weekly.
