Welcome! A little about me----I spent several of my "growing-up" years in this area. I graduated high school from Decatur High School and then left to go to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX. I graduated from there in 1995 with a Bachelor of Music degree.
It was at UMHB that I met my husband, Shane. We married in 1993 and settled into the central Texas area. We have two children, Grace (21 years old) and Ethan (13 years old). We also have a fabulous goldendoodle named Bella. We decided to move back to this area when my husband became the pastor of Walnut Creek Baptist Church in Reno 11 years ago.
I taught music for 1 year in Temple, TX, and 5 years in Killeen, TX. I decided I wanted to teach in the regular education classroom. I taught 2nd grade in Killeen for 6 years. This is my twelfth year in Springtown and my 24th year in teaching.
I enjoy reading, computing, singing, writing, playing the piano and doing church activities! I love spending time with my family. In addition to teaching, I have written curriculum for LifeWay and lead conferences for churches.
