Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year!
Hello! My name is Aimee Coplen. This is my 4th year in education and my 2nd year to teach 3rd grade. I am very excited to be teaching ELAR/SS this year.
My husband and I moved from the Central Texas area to Springtown in 2003 when he was called to a youth ministry position; he is now the associate pastor at that same church. We have fallen in love with this community and school system. We have two boys - a Freshman and 4th grader - who are both very active and keep us quite busy.
My favorite hobbies are reading and running. We are huge Dallas Mavericks fans and go to games as often as we can (which isn't as often as we'd like).
I am a Tarleton State University graduate with a B.S. in Psychology. I have the following teaching certifications: EC-6 Generalist, 4-8 Generalist, 4-8 Science, and ESL Supplemental. Previously, I taught 4th grade at SES, 3rd grade Math/Science at GCES, and was an Instructional Assistant at GCES. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Library Science through Texas Woman's University.
