• Hello! My name is Ron Elston. This will be my 19th year in a row to serve as a teacher/coach at Springtown High School. Prior to my arrival at Springtown, I was fortunate to serve as Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach at Abilene Christian University, where I coached the only national champions ACU has ever had in tennis until I just recently heard that Jonathan Sheehy, current ACU men's tennis player, just wrapped up the Collegiate ITA Summer National Circuit as the national champion this current summer of 2019. I had coached six national champions, one two-time national champion, and two national Sportsmanship of the Year winners while head tennis coach at ACU. As a college player, I finished with a 92-26 all-time singles record, with a 76-23 record at number one Singles for Abilene Christian University, and still maintain the most all-time ACU wins at number one singles with 76 in just three playing seasons at ACU.

I am blessed to teach seven periods of tennis classes during periods one through seven at SHS; then have a conference period during 8th period. I also coach the competitive SHS Boys and Girls Tennis Teams. Our competitive season takes place in the Spring.
