Hello! My name is Teresa Kelley, and I serve as the counselor for high school students whose last names begin with letters M - Z. I enjoy being part of an outstanding staff at Springtown High School and the opportunities I have to work with amazing students on a daily basis. I am a proud SHS alum! I hope I can help help our current Porcupines prepare for "whatever comes next," whether it be continuing studies at a college, university, or trade school, or jumping directly into a career.
After my own graduation from Springtown High School, I attended Weatherford College and Tarleton State University. I played on the Tennis teams at both schools, and earned a degree in Education from TSU. My first seven years in the profession were spent teaching and coaching in Robinson ISD and Groesbeck ISD. I completed a Masters in Education and Counseling program through Tarleton State University in 1999 and accepted a counseling position at Eagle Heights Elementary. Four years later I returned home to Springtown ISD, and have enjoyed serving as a counselor at three campuses over the last sixteen years. My Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and LPC-S credentials have also allowed me to work outside the school setting, but it is Springtown High School's students that I enjoy working with the most! This is my twenty-eighth year in education. Each year has included exciting new challenges and wonderful memories.
I am here to assist students via the Guidance and Counseling Office through individual and group counseling, college and career planning, and academic advising/scheduling. I appreciate the support our community provides all of Springtown ISD.
Our campus’ office hours are 7:45-3:45, Monday through Friday.
