Bienvenue chez Madame Benton

I was born in Texas but moved around a lot before my family settled in Florida. I moved back to Texas in 2007 and I now consider it home. I received both my bachelor's in French, in 2010, and my master's in French with an education minor, in 2017, from the University of North Texas. Go Mean Green! After completing my bachelor's, I spent 8 months in a small town in France called Angoulême where I worked as an English assistant with students ranging from elementary to high school. I'm now in my 9th year here at SHS and feel very blessed that I get to do what I love everyday.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, reading, and being crafty-I'm almost always in the middle of some craft project. Traveling is one of my favorite things to do and I try to convey the importance of traveling and experiencing new cultures in class. I've been to several countries, as you can see on the map below, but the list of places I'd like to visit is much longer!
