You will be able to turn in those various assignments through email or Google Classroom. Please make sure you are getting all your work done each week for your classes. Grades are up to date for the 6th 6 weeks in Skyward (we will have one grade each week) and that includes all of these at a distance assignments ( i.e. your assignments each week and participation in Google Classroom does matter). As a result some of you are now failing the 6th 6 weeks, so I cannot stress enough how important it is to be doing each assignment each and every week. I really want each and everyone of you to be successful in my class, not fall behind, and fulfill your potential in my coursework.
Also, please be checking in with all of your teachers/classes and stay up to date. Reach out if you do not understand something or have any questions or concerns. We are here for you and want to help out in any way possible. All grades can be accessed through Skyward however if you need support or help feel free to let me know. I will update you with more information every week regarding what the gameplan will be for virtual and paper-based classwork but as of now you can expect to find all of your assignments for each week on my Google Classroom Page :) I want you to know that I personally miss seeing each and every one of you, so I encourage you to stay home so that we can get back to normal soon!
This is a great time to start getting you ready for college. Right now, many colleges are closed for the semester. Additionally, many professors and courses (and some degrees) are partially or completely online now. This is just another way to increase your learning and technological abilities (and mine too!). I encourage you to be calm and patient with yourself and all your teachers as we make this transition and navigate through these uncharted territories with social distancing and online instruction. Control what you can control, as many stressors are not within our control. Be smart, get caught up if you are behind, and PLEASE wash your hands often! Contact me if you need me. We will get through this and be better off on the other side!
The success of my students at Springtown High School is my top priority. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns! I am a phone call (817.220.3888) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) away and of course, my door is always open to all of my quilltastic students!
Stay Sharp Porcupines,
