‼️ DELAYED START - 10:00AM ‼️ Springtown ISD will operate on a delayed start schedule today, with classes beginning at 10:00 AM. Our team has been out assessing road conditions since 3:45 AM. While roads in town are generally in good shape, there are a few rural areas that require extra caution. We want to allow our bus drivers to navigate those routes in daylight for added safety. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. The safety of our students and staff remains our top priority. Porcupines: Our team has been out checking roads across the district this evening, and everything is clear for tomorrow! ❄️ It’s going to be a chilly one, so be sure to bundle up! We’ll have buildings open, warm, and ready for you in the morning. Please be patient during drop-off and pick-up, our staff will be working as efficiently as possible to get students in and out safely. As always, leadership will be out early to check road conditions before buses run to ensure everything remains safe. We will continue to monitor the weather throughout the evening and notify families if the school schedule for tomorrow changes. Information will also be shared on the SISD website and social media.

No School Tomorrow, January 10th! We don’t get many of these rare Texas snow days, but they sure bring out the kid in all of us! As children, we would dream of waking up to the magic words, “No school today!” Well… it’s here. You’ve got it now. Superintendent Shane Strickland took those famous grandparent tales to heart — you know the ones about walking barefoot to school in the snow, uphill both ways.
