📣 IMPORTANT BACK-TO-SCHOOL REMINDERS 📣 Wednesday, August 12th is the BIG DAY, Porcupines! 🧡🖤 As we head back to school, here are a few important reminders to help keep everyone safe and make the first day run as smoothly as possible: 🚸 SLOW DOWN & WATCH FOR SCHOOL ZONES! Please be extra cautious in our school zones and be prepared to stop for school buses. 🚌 A huge thank you to the Springtown Police for monitoring our school zones and helping keep our Porcupines safe! 🚧 TRAFFIC ALERT - SPRINGTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL SMS has a new bus loop this year as construction continues on our new Science & CTE Wing! Our bus drivers have completed test runs, but tomorrow will be the real deal with buses, parent drop-off and pick-up, students, and staff all arriving at once. The first few days are always an adjustment as everyone learns the new routine. We promise… it gets better! 🧡 ☀️ IT’S GOING TO BE HOT! High temperatures are expected during the first few weeks of school. Because of their size and the frequent opening of doors at stops, buses can struggle to stay cool in extreme heat. We encourage students to fill up a water bottle before leaving campus in the afternoon so they have something to drink on the ride home. Springtown ISD continues to make great progress on the projects approved by voters in the 2025 Bond. During the recent Bond Oversight Committee meeting, updates were shared on Littleton Springs Elementary, the Springtown Middle School Science & CTE Addition, and the Springtown Elementary renovations.

Here are a few highlights:
📍 Littleton Springs Elementary (Elementary #4)
Construction has officially begun following approval of the first construction package. We are excited to celebrate the groundbreaking on March 26th! 𝑉𝑖𝑒𝑤 𝑜𝑢𝑟 𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑒 𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑏𝑒𝑙𝑜𝑤 𝑡𝑜 𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑤 𝑐𝑎𝑚𝑝𝑢𝑠 𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠, 𝑒𝑥𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑜𝑟 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑝𝑡𝑠, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑗𝑒𝑐𝑡 𝑡𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠.

Design work has been completed, and construction is currently scheduled to begin Summer 2026. This project will expand Science and CTE learning opportunities for our students at Springtown Middle School. Invitation to Springtown Middle School Community Meeting Regarding Campus Improvement

Springtown Middle School Parents & Families,

We are reaching out to invite you to a community meeting on **Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, at 8:00 AM** in the Springtown Middle School Library.

As you may know, Springtown Middle School was identified for Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) last year, based on the 2023-2024 state accountability data. This is a required two-year school improvement intervention. Since we are in Year Two, we must now create and implement a Targeted Improvement Plan for the 2025-2026 school year.

During this meeting, we will discuss the following:

* A description of the state accountability system and the reason for the required Targeted Improvement Plan.
* Springtown Middle School’s performance data on the STAAR test.
* Our plan to improve student scores and overall campus performance.

This meeting will be approximately one hour in length, and we look forward to receiving your valuable feedback. For those unable to attend, the presentation will be posted on the school website following the meeting.
