Springtown Independent School District is proud to announce a perfect overall score of 100 on the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) for the 2023–2024 fiscal year. The School FIRST system, overseen by the Texas Education Agency, holds public school districts accountable to strong financial practices through rigorous evaluation of 21 key indicators (including fund balance, debt management, internal controls, and reporting).
Springtown ISD’s perfect rating reflects its dedication to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and excellence in financial management.
“This perfect score shows the commitment of our district to uphold the highest standards of financial integrity,” said Superintendent Shane Strickland. “I’m grateful to Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance Wesley Thomas and the entire business office team for their hard work and attention to detail. Their efforts ensure that every dollar is spent wisely, aligned with the needs of students and staff.”

In compliance with TEA requirements, Springtown ISD will host a public hearing on the School FIRST report during the Regular November Board Meeting on November 17, 2025.
