Springtown ISD is proud to announce the 2025 Springtown Education Foundation Teacher Grant Recipients! This year, SEF awarded a remarkable $25,675 to empower classrooms, strengthen hands-on learning, and support innovative teaching across the district.
A huge thank you to the Springtown Education Foundation for their continued commitment to our teachers and students. Their generosity directly enhances learning opportunities in every grade level.
Several recipients were absent today and will be surprised next week, but we had the joy of celebrating many of them in person. Take a look at this year’s grant recipients and the exciting projects their grants will fund:
RENO ELEMENTARY
Crystal Arnold – $1,695 for a laser cutter/3D printer to support robotics and coding
Sandra Boyd – $2,400 for glockenspiels to enhance music instruction
Jacqulyn Patino – $525 for flexible seating in her classroom
SPRINGTOWN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Brittany Cole – $1,350 for KEVA Planks (STEM)
Whitney Killingsworth – $700 for outdoor discovery stations
Sally McPhetrige – $1,500 for a portable PA system to amplify student voices
Dotty Dodd – $1,000 for STEM bins
Elizabeth Hill – $750 for sensory-regulation weighted lap pads
Kacie Woods – $625 for Lakeshore color-changing materials
SPRINGTOWN INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL
Heather Castanada – $2,790 for breakout boxes/escape-room learning kits (14 boxes)
SPRINGTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL
Sara Gashi – $2,500 for new yearbook photo cameras, helping students capture memories and sharpen real-world photography skills
Pat Hall – $600 for pickleball paddles and balls so every student can participate
Lisa Palazzetti – $1,990 for PEEQ Qball sets (7 balls with protection plan)
GOSHEN CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Trisha Weaver – $1,050 for drums and maracas to enhance music instruction
Jennifer Hentschel – $1,000 for STEM bins
SPRINGTOWN HIGH SCHOOL
Katy Musselman – $1,000 for skeleton muscle and ligaments hanging roller stand, giving students a hands-on way to learn anatomy
Darci Cosentino – $800 for suture simulation kits (wound-care training)
Chelsea Cochran – $1,400 for chopsaw cardboard cutters
Austen Hutchison – $2,000 for ENT supplies to support medical pathways
These grants represent the heart of what SEF does best—supporting innovative teaching that inspires students, sparks creativity, and expands real-world learning opportunities across Springtown ISD.
