Springtown ISD is proud to announce that Jenna Showers has been named the inaugural principal of Littleton Springs Elementary, set to open for the 2027-2028 school year.
Mrs. Showers currently serves as the principal of Reno Elementary, where she has guided the campus through significant academic growth while building a strong, positive school culture. Since joining Springtown ISD in August 2017, she has made a lasting impact on students, staff, and families across the district. With 18 years of experience in education, Mrs. Showers brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to this new role.
Beyond her work at the campus level, Mrs. Showers is widely recognized as a strong district leader. Superintendent Shane Strickland frequently calls upon her leadership, insight, and experience to support district initiatives and decision-making.
“Mrs. Showers is an exceptional educator and an even better person,” said Superintendent Shane Strickland. “We could not be more proud to have her lead the opening of Littleton Springs Elementary. Her leadership, vision, and heart for students make her the perfect choice to help launch this new campus.”
Mrs. Showers earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas and later completed her master’s degree and principal certification at Tarleton University. Prior to joining Springtown ISD, she spent 10 years teaching in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.
As part of this transition, Springtown ISD will begin the process of hiring the next principal for Reno Elementary this spring to ensure a smooth and timely transition. Mrs. Showers will continue working closely with Reno Elementary to support students and staff during this transition, while gradually shifting her focus to planning, staffing, and preparing Littleton Springs Elementary for its opening in 2027.
Springtown ISD is excited about the future and confident that Mrs. Showers’ leadership will play a key role in continuing the district’s tradition of excellence.
