The Springtown ISD Board of Trustees has approved a compensation plan that provides every district employee with a minimum 2.5% pay increase, reinforcing the district’s commitment to attracting, retaining, and supporting exceptional educators and staff.

To ensure employee compensation remains competitive, Springtown ISD partnered with the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to conduct a comprehensive staffing and compensation analysis. The review compared Springtown ISD’s pay structures with neighboring school districts and others throughout the region to ensure the district remains competitive and in many areas, exceeds the market.

The compensation study was led by Assistant Superintendent of Business and Finance Wes Thomas, who worked extensively with TASB to analyze district staffing, evaluate salary schedules, and develop a fiscally responsible compensation plan for the Board’s consideration.

“Our employees are the heart of everything we do, and this investment reflects how much we value them,” said Board President Chris Gilley. “The Board of Trustees is committed to being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars while also ensuring Springtown ISD remains a destination district for outstanding teachers and staff. We know that investing in our people is one of the most important investments we can make, and we are proud to support a compensation plan that benefits every employee.”

The Board’s approval reflects Springtown ISD’s continued focus on long-term financial planning and responsible budgeting, allowing the district to make meaningful investments in its staff while maintaining strong fiscal health.

Superintendent Shane Strickland said the compensation plan is about more than salaries, it’s about honoring the people who make a difference in students’ lives every day.

“Our staff members choose Springtown ISD because they care deeply about kids and believe in the work happening here,” said Mr. Strickland. “We want them to know that they are valued. By partnering with TASB to carefully evaluate our compensation system, we’ve positioned ourselves to remain competitive with surrounding districts while rewarding the incredible people who serve our students every day. We are grateful to our Board of Trustees for making this investment in our employees and for continuing to prioritize both fiscal responsibility and our people.”

The district believes competitive compensation is essential to recruiting and retaining high-quality employees, strengthening student achievement, and ensuring Springtown ISD continues to provide an exceptional educational experience for every student.

The approved compensation plan provides at least a 2.5% raise for every employee, showing the district’s commitment to supporting the dedicated professionals who make Springtown ISD a great place to learn and work.
