Springtown Independent School District received an overall rating of “C” (77) in the Texas Education Agency’s 2026 A-F Accountability system, marking an improvement from its score of 76 in 2025. While we know a 77 is not where we want to stay, there is progress worth recognizing. Springtown ISD improved in every accountability domain this year, with increases ranging from one to four points, and several of our campuses saw even bigger gains.
Campus Highlights and Academic Gains:
Reno Elementary: Lead the district’s most significant improvement, raising its overall score from 80 to 85, backed by a 13-point increase in Domain III: Closing the Gaps. Additionally, the campus earned state Distinction Designations for Top 25% in Academic Growth and Top 25% in Closing the Gaps.
Springtown High School: Maintained its "B" rating, recorded a 10-point leap in Domain II: Academic Growth. SHS also earned a Distinction Designation for Postsecondary Readiness.
Springtown Intermediate School improved its School Progress rating from a D to a C.
Springtown Middle School reached an important milestone by successfully exiting Comprehensive Support and Improvement status.
“We are proud of the growth we saw across the district this year, but we also know we have more work to do,” said Assistant Superintendent of Academics Tiffany Cano. “Over the past two years, our curriculum teams have built new systems for implementing hiqh-quality instructional materials, classroom coaching, instructional data review, and campus-level goal tracking. This is the year we expect those systems to show up clearly in our results; not just holding steady, but accelerating.”
“There are a lot of things in these results that we should be proud of, but we’re not satisfied,” said Superintendent Shane Strickland. “We’ve seen what our campuses are capable of, and now the expectation is continued growth across the district. We have a clear plan, our staff knows the work ahead of us, and we’re going to stay focused on making sure every student in Springtown ISD is getting the very best education we can provide.”
Looking ahead, the district’s 2026–2031 Strategic Plan establishes clear, board-approved objectives for the upcoming 2026–27 academic year. District administrators will actively monitor metrics throughout the year and provide progress updates to the Springtown ISD Board of Trustees.
