SES Renovation

Springtown ISD has some great news to share with our community. Both for our taxpayers and on the progress of the projects approved by voters in the May 2025 Bond Election.

At last night’s Board of Trustees meeting, the Board approved a 2026 tax rate of $1.0206.

When Springtown ISD shared information with voters leading up to the May 2025 Bond Election, projections showed that passage of the bond could result in an increase to the District’s tax rate.

We are excited to share that has not been the case.

The District’s tax rate in 2025 was $1.0317. The newly approved 2026 tax rate is $1.0206, a decrease of a little over a penny per $100 valuation compared to last year.

Even more notable, Springtown ISD’s tax rate has decreased by approximately 12 cents over the past five years, even with the passage of the May 2025 Bond.

Continued growth throughout Springtown ISD has played an important role in allowing the District to support the projects approved by voters while maintaining a lower tax rate.

Speaking of the May 2025 Bond, there is a LOT happening!

Construction on Littleton Springs Elementary School continues to move quickly. It seems like there is a new wall going up every day! We will be sharing new drone footage later today so our community can get a look at just how much progress has been made.

Renovations at Springtown Elementary School are also almost complete! As the District’s largest elementary campus by student enrollment, these improvements are making a noticeable difference. Brand-new restrooms are nearing completion (see the attached pictures), and the new HVAC systems are up and running. Even in the Texas summer heat, the difference inside the building is incredible.

And the work isn't stopping there.

Springtown Middle School has officially broken ground on its new Science and CTE addition, another major project included in the May 2025 Bond.

Both the Springtown Middle School Science and CTE addition and Littleton Springs Elementary School are currently on schedule to open for the 2027–2028 school year.

We are incredibly thankful to the Springtown ISD community for continuing to invest in our students, staff and schools. As our community grows, we remain committed to responsibly managing taxpayer dollars while providing the facilities and learning spaces our students need.

There is a lot happening across Springtown ISD, and we look forward to continuing to keep our community updated as these projects move forward.
