Goshen Creek Elementary Family,
On Friday, August 22nd you received a message and an email regarding House Bill 12, which requires schools to have parent permission before providing certain student services. To grant this permission, please log in to your studentโs Skyward Family Access account and complete three quick forms under the โOnline Formsโ section:
๐ Forms to Complete:
1๏ธโฃ Student Clubs
Parents must give written consent before students can participate in any school-sponsored clubs.
2๏ธโฃ Health Services
Nurses now need parent permission to provide care such as first aid, health checks, or screenings (unless it's an emergency).
๐ธ Without opting in on this form, your student will not be able to visit the nurseโeven for something like a Band-Aid.
3๏ธโฃ Counseling & Support Services
Parent consent is required for students to participate in guidance lessons, goal-setting, or receive short-term support services.
๐ธ Without opting in on this form, your child will not be able to see the counselor during Power Hour (a time when we do character education activities; speak about things such as bullying, etc.) or receive extra emotional/social support if needed.
โ ๏ธ These forms are required for the 2025โ2026 school year, and itโs very important that they are filled out as soon as possible.
"Opting in" will help us ensure we can continue supporting your student in every way possible!
We appreciate you and your support in making sure this is completed by Friday, August 29, 2025. As always, if you have any questions or we can help answer any questions, please call our front office at 817-220-0272. Below is the direct link to Skyward Family Access Portal.

Our friendly staff will be there to assist. Together, weโre fostering independent managers while keeping everyone safe and successful!
We appreciate you and your support. Together, we've set record times for our beginning of the year drop-off & pick-up! Letโs continue achieving success in all things! ๐โจIf you have any questions or are needing assistance, do not hesitate to call the front office at 817-220-0272, so we can work together as a team.

๐ Just a friendly reminder: car tags are mandatory for the safety and security of our students. Please ensure you have your tags displayed in your car every day. If you donโt, youโll need to visit the office for an ID check before we can release your child. For everyone's safety, students will be released only after dismissal is complete.
๐ Reminder: Tomorrow, we will hold our first assembly. Please remain in your cars and use the two drop-off zones to drop off your child. Students will head straight to the gym unless they need to eat breakfast. Our amazing staff will be on hand to guide students to where they need to be. Assembly starts promptly at 7:30 AM. We canโt wait to see all of our students' smiling faces ready to start their day on the right foot! Remember, the tardy bell rings at 7:35 AM, and thatโs when our gym doors will shut. If you arrive at 7:35, your child will need to be brought to the front office to sign in.
We truly appreciate your partnership in making Goshen the best place to be! ๐โค๏ธ
