โจ Yesterday, our Goshen Creek Elementary Kindergarteners embarked on a delightful journey. They crafted gingerbread men from scratch and then set off on a school-wide scavenger hunt. Clues led them through classrooms and hallways, guiding them to their sweet treats.
๐๐งโ๐ณ Kindergarten truly is a magical place where every day is an exciting opportunity for learning. Our young learners are bringing the spirit of Christmas to life, creating cherished memories and traditions.

๐Mrs. Reedโs after-school book study recently celebrated the completion of their second book and is already preparing for the third! We are incredibly grateful to Mrs. Reed and the exceptional students who are leading the charge to foster a positive reading culture across our campus.
โค๏ธTheir enthusiasm and leadership are truly contagious, and we should all cheer them on! Thereโs nothing quite like falling in love with a good book, and itโs evident from the smiles on these faces that they are thoroughly enjoying every moment of it!

๐ Big hearts and Difference Makers! ๐
Our fourth-grade girls joined a girlsโ empowerment group led by Coach Watson and Coach Arce. During Power Hour, they had a special visit from SHS Varsity Volleyball players. The varsity team mentored the girls in volleyball skills, teamwork, and confidence-building. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity for growth, mentorship, and friendship. ๐

We want to give a massive shoutout to Jennifer Roberts and her friends from Modern Woodmen for showering our staff with love today! ๐ฅช๐ฅAfter all the hard work that went into making the Adventure Dash a success, Ms. Roberts and her team treated the entire Goshen Creek Elementary staff to a delicious lunch. It was exactly what we needed to refuel!
To top it all off, there was a fun drawing, and a big congratulations goes out to Ms. Miller for winning the special prize! Our teachers and students are ready for the Adventure Dash on Friday!

Welcome to December! We hope that all of you had an amazing Thanksgiving break filled with joy, rest, and quality time with your family.
We are so excited to welcome our students back as we head into a month full of learning and holiday spirit. Our goal for these next few weeks is to make each moment count, ensuring that our students continue to grow academically while we celebrate the season together. With so many exciting events and activities packed into this month, communication is key. Please take a few moments to read the Principal's Update for December to ensure that you are informed about all of the great things going on at our campus. We don't want you to miss a thing and looking forward to making memories together. Guess what Day 67 looked like in first grade? ๐ Our fabulous 1st graders graphed 67 stickers, hunted down 67 tricky words, and even wrote about what they'd look like at 67 โ then students and staff wrapped up the day in smiles with a Balloons Over Broadway parade! ๐ Huge thanks to our dedicated 1st grade teachers & staff for making learning so interactive and fun. #BetheLight #DifferenceMakers

โก๏ธ๐ซ Today our students utilized their creatively designed devices to protect eggs dropped from the second floor to the first. Both students & staff were actively engaged to see if their design would keep their eggs safe.
๐ฅ It was a hands-on science winโfull of teamwork, problem-solving, and lots of cheers for their classmates & friends.

Hello Parents & Guardians,
Today your students will be participating in the Adventure Dash Fun Run pep-rally and will be bringing home a special, orange, Rally Day flyer. This flyer provides instructions on how your student can earn the BE FIRST band which will make them FIRST through the starting tunnel on Dash Day.
They can only earn this band TONIGHT so if they don't get registered, they will miss out on the opportunity. Please help your students achieve this easy goal by making sure they get registered and by sharing their personal donation link that will be emailed to you. It is greatly appreciated and will truly help with the success of the schoolโs fundraiser!
