Dear Goshen Creek Elementary Family,

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of you for a successful October! As we look forward to falling into November together, I am so grateful for your amazing support with our Big Kahuna Fundraiser, our Unity Days, Red Ribbon Week, and our PTA Boo Bash! We appreciate your continued partnership in helping grow a culture of students loving to read and apply math in the world around us.

Our Goshen Creek Elementary Boo Bash was a huge success! We want to give our Goshen Creek Elementary PTA a huge shoutout for all the many things they do, especially always going above and beyond to ensure the Boo Bash was an unforgettable memory for all of our Goshen Family.

Big Kahuna Pick-up is taking place today on campus between the times of 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM in the GCES gym. As a friendly reminder, we ask that there are no student sign-outs past 2:45 PM, as we will be in the midst of dismissal procedures to ensure safety for all. We appreciate your support and compliance in helping to maintain these expectations.

We truly appreciate your attention to detail and commitment to ensuring each event was a success for our students. Please take a few minutes to read through the Principal's Update for November to make sure . At school, we will be focusing on gratitude and all the blessings in our lives. Our home connection project will include implementing a gratitude jar at home as well, and we cannot wait to see the impact.

🔦This week at Goshen Creek Elementary, our third graders celebrated the end of their RLA Unit Two over the body with an incredible room transformation! 🎉 Our students became surgeons for the day, practicing strategies and reviews for their upcoming unit test. 🩺✨ It was a real-world experience that allowed students to dive deep into everything they've learned and apply their knowledge. 🧡We are grateful for our amazing third grade team working together to create & plan this opportunity for students to show all that they know.

🌟 A heartfelt THANK YOU to all the amazing Goshen Creek Elementary PTA members, volunteers, and staff! 🧡Your dedication made the K.I.S.S. breakfast an incredible experience. Students brought their special guests to enjoy delicious food, sign up for the Watch Dog Group, purchase Springtown attire to show our SPIRIT everywhere that we go, and explore the book fair. 📚✨ These two days were filled with laughter, connections, and memories that will last a lifetime. We are truly grateful for each one of you!

📣What a fantastic October for the Goshen Book Club that was lead by Mrs. Reed. 📚 🎃This month, we explored "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis. In Chapter 3, we even got to taste the delightful Turkish Delight! 🍬 To wrap up our session, students will create projects featuring 5 key events from the story using various art materials. 🧡 🔦 But wait, there’s more! Our November Book Club pick is "Holes"! Stay tuned for more details on how your child can sign up and participate in this after school club!

🍋 Exciting things are happening in our First Grade Gifted & Talented program! Here is a spotlight on their recent extension activity. 🍋 Under the guidance of Mrs. Horton, students had the unique opportunity to plan, organize, and create their very own lemonade stands! 🤝Partnering with the SHS Culinary Department, they whipped up a variety of delicious lemonades while applying their knowledge in a fun and engaging way. 🌟What a fantastic way to learn! We are so thankful for our amazing GT Coordinator & SHS Culinary Department working together to help create positive opportunities for our students to learn & grow!
