There is a lot of great news to share from Monday nightโs Springtown ISD Board of Trustees meeting!
๐ฐ BUDGET & TAX RATE
The Board approved a balanced 2026โ2027 budget of $48,296,198 and adopted a tax rate of $1.0206 per $100 valuation.
When information about the 2025 Bond was shared with our community prior to the election, projections anticipated that the Districtโs tax rate would increase if the bond passed.
The bond passed - but the tax rate DECREASED! ๐
Last yearโs rate was $1.0317, compared to the newly adopted rate of $1.0206. We are incredibly proud to continue investing in the future of Springtown ISD while remaining responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars.

BOND AND TAX RATE UPDATE!
At Monday nightโs Board meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the Districtโs 2026 tax rate of $1.0206 per $100 of taxable value.
When we shared information leading up to the May 2025 Bond Election, projections showed that passage of the bond could result in an increase to the Districtโs tax rate.
Great news... the tax rate actually DECREASED! ๐
The Districtโs tax rate in 2025 was $1.0317. The newly approved 2026 rate is $1.0206, a decrease of a little over one penny per $100 of taxable value compared to last year.

Things are MOVING across Springtown ISD!
๐ซ Littleton Springs Elementary seems to have a new wall every day! Stay tuned for new drone footage showing just how much progress has been made.
๐ง Springtown Elementary renovations are ALMOST complete! Brand new restrooms are nearing completion, and the new HVAC systems are up and running.
๐จ Springtown Middle School has officially broken ground on its new Science and CTE addition!
Both Littleton Springs Elementary and the SMS Science and CTE addition remain on schedule to open for the 2027โ2028 school year.
There is a LOT happening in Springtown ISD and we are thankful for a community that continues to invest in our students, staff and schools. ๐งก

Thank you, Reno families, for helping us make our transition to Driveline such a smooth one! We appreciate your patience, flexibility, and support as we work to make dismissal safe and efficient for everyone. ๐งก๐ค
๐ Office Pick-Up Cutoff: 3:00 PM
If you arrive at the office after 3:00 PM to pick up your child, you will need to wait until regular dismissal is complete before your child can be released. The only exception will be for a true emergency. This cutoff allows our staff to focus on safely and efficiently getting all students through dismissal without interruptions.

๐ธ SLOW DOWN & WATCH FOR SCHOOL ZONES! Please be extra cautious in our school zones and be prepared to stop for school buses. ๐ A huge thank you to the Springtown Police for monitoring our school zones and helping keep our Porcupines safe!
๐ง TRAFFIC ALERT - SPRINGTOWN MIDDLE SCHOOL SMS has a new bus loop this year as construction continues on our new Science & CTE Wing! Our bus drivers have completed test runs, but tomorrow will be the real deal with buses, parent drop-off and pick-up, students, and staff all arriving at once. The first few days are always an adjustment as everyone learns the new routine. We promiseโฆ it gets better! ๐งก
โ๏ธ ITโS GOING TO BE HOT! High temperatures are expected during the first few weeks of school. Because of their size and the frequent opening of doors at stops, buses can struggle to stay cool in extreme heat. We encourage students to fill up a water bottle before leaving campus in the afternoon so they have something to drink on the ride home. Above all, please be patient, be kind, and give everyone a little grace as we get back into the swing of things.

If your child will need medication during the school day, please make sure everything is completed before the first day of school to help our nurses provide safe and timely care.
โ What you'll need:
โข A completed Medication Authorization Form signed by both the parent/guardian and the prescribing physician
โข Medication in its original, properly labeled prescription bottle or box
โข Non-expired medication
โข Inhalers must be in the labeled pharmacy box
๐ Important Reminders:
โข All medications must be brought to the school clinic by a parent or guardianโplease do not send medications with your child.
โข Only medications that cannot be administered at home will be given at school.
โข Both prescription and over-the-counter medications require the appropriate authorization forms.
โข Medications not picked up by the last day of school will be properly disposed of.
