Mrs. Showers, Mr. Moody, and many of our staff hit the road and made a parade through neighborhoods just to see our students because we missed them so much during the school closure. ๐๐ Itโs stories like these that make Reno such a special place! ๐งก

Over the past few weeks in PE, they completed all 8 โbeltsโ by mastering different jump rope skillsโforward, backward, freestyle, and even on one foot! Each belt was earned step by step and signed off as they leveled up.
If they completed all 8, theyโve officially earned the title of Jump Rope Ninja! ๐๐ฅท

๐ดโโ ๏ธโ Pirate Day Learning Adventure in 2nd Grade! โ๐ดโโ ๏ธ
Our students set sail on an exciting day of learning filled with hands-on activities and high engagement!
Yesterday, our young learners explored the human body, discovering how body systems work together like a pirate crew. They also strengthened their reading skills by learning about scientific discoveries and practicing how to make observations using evidence.
Students dove into phonics and spelling patterns, explored fiction vs. nonfiction text features, and connected their learning to real-world concepts in social studies, including work, income, saving, and donating.
โจ It was a day full of collaboration, curiosity, and meaningful learningโproving that when students are engaged, learning becomes an adventure!

Armed with rulers and a lot of curiosity, students worked with partners to measure arm spans and hand lengths, carefully recording every inch. ๐ Once their data was collected, the real fun began! Using dry-erase markers and colorful cubes, they created dot plots right on their desks, transforming the room into a sea of data.
There were gasps when students discovered clusters of matching measurements and plenty of laughs at the outliers with extra-long reach! ๐ By the end, the classroom became more than just a place to learnโit was a living map of the students themselves, showing exactly how they measured up as a group. ๐งก๐
