We had 100-year-olds walking around campus (maybe they got a little turned around on the way to their nursing homes ๐๐ต๐ด) and students rocking outfits with 100 itemsโwow! ๐งฆ๐๐

Between snow days โ๏ธ and the craziness of jumping back into routine, we didnโt get a chance to postโbut this was WAY too good not to share!
Snowy Texas weather + sweet learning = the best combo โ๏ธ๐ฆ๐งก
Our 2nd graders have been busy cooking up learning across subjects! ๐ฉโ๐ณ๐จโ๐ณ
โ In math, students used hands-on bakery activities to model multiplication and division with equal groups and arraysโproving their learning was truly on a roll ๐๐
๐ In reading, they enjoyed a story about a baker and learned the value of hard workโbecause good things take time (and effort!) to bake ๐ฉ๐ช
To top it all off, students enjoyed ice cream sundaes donated by Ice Slingers ๐จ๐โthe perfect way to chill and celebrate all their hard workโฆ even with snow on the ground in Texas! โ๏ธ๐ค ๐ฆ

This morning, we held our GOAT Ceremonyโand at Reno, GOAT stands for Growth Over All Things! ๐ช๐ We celebrated the teachersโ classes that showed the most growth on our middle-of-the-year assessments in Math โ and Reading ๐.
To make it even more special, Buck the Goat stopped by campus to celebrate with the top 3 Math and Reading classes, hanging out, taking photos ๐ธ, and spreading lots of excitement! These teachers and students LOVED every minute of it! ๐งก

Mrs. Hale, our librarian, has created a fun way for our Reno readers to share book recommendations! Students can fill out recommendation forms explaining why a book is so great and why others should read it. What a wonderful way to spread the love of reading! โค๏ธ๐
This Friday, 1/16, our entire school will attend the Springtown High School performance of Cinderella. We are excited for our students not only to enjoy the performance, but also to visit Springtown High Schoolโthe campus many of them will attend in the future. This experience gives our students a firsthand look at the incredible talent of Springtown ISD students. Who knowsโmaybe some of our Reno students will be inspired to join theatre one day!
