We hope you are continuing to make progress with cleanup efforts following the recent storms. We know recovery looks different for everyone. Some may be back to normal soon, while for others it may take weeks or even months. We are feeling it too, and we know many of you are physically and emotionally exhausted.
We're encouraged to share that current reports show 4.92% of our community are without power, which is a significant improvement from just a few days ago. Because of this progress, Springtown ISD will reopen all campuses tomorrow morning (April 30th).
We also understand that not every family will be in a position to return just yet. Student absences will be excused with a note submitted to your respective campus, and we will continue working with families as needed during this time.
Additionally, we are in communication with the Texas Education Agency (TEA) regarding the administration of the STAAR test and will keep you updated as soon as we have more information on any adjustments.
We are truly looking forward to welcoming our students and staff back. It has been incredible to see the strength, resilience, and heart of this community over the past several days. Let's continue to support one another and carry that momentum forward.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) will be conducting a statewide emergency alert test on Thursday, April 2 between 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
📱 During this time, you may receive a Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) on your mobile device. The message will clearly state that it is a TEST and that no emergency is taking place.
A sample alert may read:
“TEST of emergency alert system. No emergency. No action needed.”
This drill helps ensure emergency systems are working properly and allows officials to evaluate and improve communication for real emergencies.
As always, we’ll keep you informed, but for this one, no need to worry. 👍

During the recent Bond Oversight Committee meeting, updates were shared on Littleton Springs Elementary, the Springtown Middle School Science & CTE Addition, and the Springtown Elementary renovations.
