💊🏫 Medication at School: What Parents Need to Know!

If your child will need medication during the school day, please make sure everything is completed before the first day of school to help our nurses provide safe and timely care.

✅ What you'll need:
• A completed Medication Authorization Form signed by both the parent/guardian and the prescribing physician
• Medication in its original, properly labeled prescription bottle or box
• Non-expired medication
• Inhalers must be in the labeled pharmacy box

📋 Important Reminders:
• All medications must be brought to the school clinic by a parent or guardian—please do not send medications with your child.
• Only medications that cannot be administered at home will be given at school.
• Both prescription and over-the-counter medications require the appropriate authorization forms.
• Medications not picked up by the last day of school will be properly disposed of.

📄 Please review the attached Medication Authorization Form and complete all required signatures before bringing medication to school.

🎓🧡 Kindergarten Graduation was such a SUCCESS!!! 🖤🎉 These sweet kiddos have grown SO much this year—both academically 📚 and literally! 🥹 Watching how much they have learned, accomplished, and matured this year has been so special. Yearbooks were passed out yesterday, 5/18!!! We have a VERY limited supply of hardcovers left! If you are interested, copies can be purchased in the office for $30!

💦 781 Water Balloons = 781 Points of GROWTH! 💦

Our amazing teachers, Mrs. Pierson, Mrs. Bosch, and Mrs. Mazza, were absolute troopers today! They were doused with 781 water balloons in celebration of our students' phenomenal success.

Each balloon thrown represented a specific point of growth on their students' NWEA MAP Growth tests. That's 781 instances of personal academic achievement and incredible hard work!

We are SO proud of our students for showing so much growth, and thank you to all the 4th grade teachers for encouraging their students every step of the way! A huge shout-out to Mrs. Pierson, Mrs. Bosch, and Mrs. Mazza for being such good sports 🤩

🐐🧡 GOAT Ceremony 2026 = SUCCESS! 🖤🐐

This morning, we celebrated our End of the Year GOAT Ceremony — “Growth Over All Things!” 🎉📈 What an AMAZING time cheering on the students and teachers who showed incredible growth throughout the year! 🙌

At Reno Elementary, we believe growth matters. We work hard to build a culture where students set goals, show grit, stay determined, and celebrate progress every step of the way! 💪⭐ Whether the growth is big or small, every step forward deserves to be recognized and celebrated.

The classes with the highest growth percentages earned some extra special time with the GOATs today 🐐😂 and it was definitely a student favorite! From smiles and laughter to celebrating achievements together, the energy this morning was incredible!

🚌✨ Our 4th graders had an AMAZING day of hands-on learning, teamwork, and fun on their field trip! ✨🦔 At Texas Roadhouse 🍽️, students kicked off the day with the Cupid Shuffle 💃🕺 as a fun team-building activity before rotating through several learning stations! Students got to shape bread dough into TEXAS 🤠 to be baked and sent home, enjoyed lunch with burgers, fries, and drinks 🍔🍟🥤, and even put their math skills to work by figuring out how to DOUBLE the recipe for Texas Roadhouse Italian dressing using fractions and real-world problem solving ➕📊🧮 They also practiced walking with trays like real servers without spilling their cups of water 💧🍽️ while learning how the education and skills they are working on now truly connect to real-life careers and responsibilities! 👏 Next, students visited Russell’s Feed & Supply 🐴🌱 where they learned about farming, animal care, planting, and what it takes to run a successful business. Students loved getting hands-on experiences and learning outside the classroom! 🐐🚜🌾 It was such a great day filled with learning, laughter, teamwork, and memories! 🧡 We love providing opportunities for our students to connect classroom learning to the real world! #WeareReno #PorcupineFamily
